This is one of the first songs where I truly opened up about a time in my life when I was so low, I contemplated suicide. I felt trapped, stuck in circumstances that made it seem like there was no other way out. Every day, I’m thankful for the strength it took to push through and align with my purpose. The person who was addicted to drugs and homeless feels almost unrecognizable to me now, allowing me to reflect on those darker parts of my life with honesty and clarity. It’s impossible to truly reflect on a chapter when you’re still living in it, but now I can confidently say I’ve moved on to a completely different chapter, in a completely different book.
