Here are my best backup tips for Filmmakers using my QNAP TVS-x72XT RAID NAS on Windows 10. Having a carbon copy of all your data is important to ensure you never lose any drone videos, timelapse sequences, professional creative files, or documents! By utilizing this RAID5 setup I am not only backing up all of my data but I am also protecting my data from potential disk failure. Since this is Network Attached Storage (NAS) device, I can also access my files over the Internet and host my own cloud storage, invite collaborators, and easily share files with custom download links.
Using QNAP's QSYNC application, I can also sync folders between my Computer and External RAID so that any incremental change to the files or folder structures will automatically adjust on the backup.
