Whitney skis her first black run... and she wanted to do it four more times that day!!

In North America, a black run is an Advanced/Expert run. The run she skied is called Top Gun at @sundanceresort. She had been seeing it from the chairlift for a few months before saying, "Dad I want to do Top Gun today!" #shorts

She had really been improving with her turns and control in the last several weeks so she seemed ready.

It was also groomed so it was a little bit more predictable than skiing on choppy moguls, but not too hard and icy that, if she fell, she would just keep sliding.

Before the run, we talked about just taking it nice and slow and focusing on good turns to slow her down. I didn't need to talk to her about confidence, she had plenty of that. She made good consistent turns until the last 60 or so meters and then just rocketed down the rest. It's crazy to think how she'll ski in a couple years. 😐🫠
