This virtual mini-series examines our interconnectedness through water and specifically Florida’s water. Inspired by the Smithsonian Institution Water/Ways traveling exhibit, Palm Beach County School District has partnered with the Scientist in Every Florida School to offer an engaging series of presentations in months of January and February that explore water through different lenses and careers. These events are geared toward grades 3-12 but open to all ages.
For those nearby, you can visit the Water/Ways exhibit at the Dolly Hand Cultural Arts Center in Belle Glade, Florida from January 10-February 26, 2022.
Hear from Florida Gulf Coast University graduate student, Xenia Alonso, as she discusses the myriad of ways in which humans impact our waterways. She will share some innovative methods that scientists like her are working on to mitigate water pollution and more.
