I've been loving this guitar from @sturnerguitars, and it has been my main player since the day I got it! I was experiencing some minor tuning stability issues, so I brought it to my workshop for a quick fix.
The nut can cause tuning stability issues if it doesn’t allow the strings to move smoothly. Problems like improperly sized slots, rough edges, or improper lubrication can cause strings to stick, creating tension imbalances. This sticking can lead to the string "pinging" as it slips suddenly, causing the guitar to go out of tune, especially during bends or when using the tremolo.
With a few minor adjustments and adding some @musicnomadcare nut lube, the issue has completely gone away, and now I can go back to playing my guitar happily and poorly!
