3 tips to get those 2024 photos organized before the New Year⬇️⬇️⬇️
There’s just 5 weeks left in the year!!! That’s more than enough time to get those 2024 photos organized and backed up for 2025.
1️⃣ Make sure your pictures are backed up to a cloud service. I use Amazon Photos because it’s free for Prime members. I do use iCloud too BUT remember that just mirrors what’s on your phone and isn’t a true back up.
2️⃣ Next, use your computer to get all of those photos copied to an external hard drive. I put each year in a folder and then within that folder I create another folder for each month. With 5 weeks left in the year you can copy 2-3 months of photos every weekend and have the entire year done by 2025.
3️⃣ As I go along, I do add metadata to some of the photos. By adding this extra information the pictures are then easier to locate later.
These 3 steps will allow you to safely delete some photos off of your phone and give you a basic organization system for all of your 2024 pictures.
