Hello there and welcome to my video. In this video, I have an update on the HP computer that I featured in my previous video. It turns out that that computer had an issue with its power supply that I tried to fix but only made worse. In this video I'll fix that mistake and truly get that computer ready to be sold.
Alright, alright. I have an update to the update video. Seeing multiple people here disagreeing with my idea of doing this kind of a "hack" in a PC that I plan to sell is very interesting to me. I'm glad that I made this video and shared it, or I wouldn't have been able to hear all of your opinions on the matter. As reluctant as I was to do it, I have since put the CX450M into the PC that I'll sell and put the Dell PSU back into the testbed that it came from. Even though I stand by the solder joints and believe that this will cause zero issues for anyone in the PSUs lifespan, I'll keep that kind of a repair out of computers that I plan to sell. Hopefully you were still able to find this video entertaining, and at least maybe learn a bit about splicing wires and coil whine. Everything has been "fixed" even though it technically wasn't broken, I hope you're all happy now.
Obligatory warning as this video contains topics relating to opening PC power supplies: Please DO NOT open a PC power supply if you do not know what you are doing. There are capacitors in there that can hold charge and hurt you a lot if you touch the wrong thing. You have been warned.
Also, for those wondering what took me so long to release a pretty "meh" video, I was on vacation. I wanted to get the voiceover done before I left so that I could edit and release it on the trip, but I didn't have time. So, I couldn't work on anything until I got back, which I now have. I had two prerecorded videos that I was going to try and release, but neither got done. The other one will be out in about a day or so, then I'll have a nice fresh plate to start work on some really good videos.
