A Simple Guide to MICROSCOPES!

In this lesson I explain the main differences between a compound/monocular microscope and a stereo/binocular microscope. This includes a description of the main features (eyepiece, ocular lens, objective lens, stage and lamps), examples of the types of specimens suitable for each microscope, an explanation of how to calculate the total magnification, and a demonstration of how each microscope can be focused using the coarse and/or fine focus knobs.

Music: Joakim Karud ("Good Old Days", "Rainy Days", "Ocean')
