Garuda Sanjivani is a rare herb found in the dense forests at the foothills of the Himalayan mountain range. It is a medicinal herb, used predominantly in Ayurveda for treating deadly snakebites and other serious inflections, which if left untreated will result in certain death. Epic Ramayana, when Laxmana is seriously hurt by a weapon hurled at him by Indrajit who is the son of Ravana, Lord Hanuman was tasked with flying to the Himalayas and retrieving the herb Sanjeevani from the Dronagiri Pharbhat before sunset. According to legend, he was unsure which herb among all the plants was sanjeevani, so he carried the entire forest to Laxmana !!
