#Marines with Headquarters Marine Corps participated in a motivational run with Gen. Christopher Mahoney, the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps, and Sergeant Major of the Marine Corps Carlos Ruiz in honor of the Marine Corps’ 248th birthday.
Celebrating our birthday is a time-honored tradition that connects Marines serving in our ranks today to those who came before us.
In the words of Gen. Mahoney, “the only difference between the six men immortalized in the Iwo Jima memorial and you, right now, is that you’re wearing PT clothes.”
