शान्ताकारं भुजगशयनं, पद्मनाभं सुरेशम्।
विश्वाधारं गगनसदृशं, मेघवर्णं शुभाङ्गम्।
लक्ष्मीकान्तं कमलनयनं, योगिभिर्ध्यानगम्यम्।
वन्दे विष्णुं भवभयहरं, सर्वलोकैकनाथम्॥
Transliteration:
Śāntākāraṁ bhujagaśayanaṁ, padmanābhaṁ sureśam.
Viśvādhāraṁ gagana-sadṛśaṁ, megha-varṇaṁ śubhāṅgam.
Lakṣmīkāntaṁ kamala-nayanaṁ, yogibhir-dhyānagamyam.
Vande viṣṇuṁ bhava-bhaya-haraṁ, sarva-lokaika-nātham.
Meaning:
I bow to Vishnu, whose form is peaceful, who rests on the serpent,
The lotus-naveled, lord of the gods, support of the universe,
Whose form is vast like the sky, dark as the clouds, and whose limbs are auspicious.
The consort of Lakshmi, with lotus-like eyes, accessible through meditation to the yogis,
I bow to Vishnu, the remover of the fears of worldly existence, the lord of all worlds.
Chorus:
जय जय विष्णु, पालनकर्ता।
सर्वभूतहिते, करुणामयी, जय जय विष्णु।
जय जय विष्णु, पालनकर्ता।
दुःखविनाशक, भक्तप्रिय, जय जय विष्णु॥
Transliteration:
Jaya Jaya Viṣṇu, pālanakartā.
Sarva-bhūta-hite, karuṇāmayī, Jaya Jaya Viṣṇu.
Jaya Jaya Viṣṇu, pālanakartā.
Duḥkha-vināśaka, bhakta-priya, Jaya Jaya Viṣṇu.
Meaning:
Victory to Vishnu, the protector and preserver.
Benefactor of all beings, full of compassion, victory to Vishnu.
Victory to Vishnu, the protector and preserver.
Destroyer of sorrow, beloved of devotees, victory to Vishnu.
Verse 2:
माधव गोविन्द मुकुन्द कृष्ण, श्रीधर वासुदेव नमः।
वैकुण्ठाधिपति विश्वरूप, सदा भक्तानुग्रहप्रभो।
नारायण नीलमेघवर्ण, जगद्गुरो नीलकण्ठ नमः।
दुःखसंहारक आनन्दमय, त्रिभुवननाथ नमो नमः॥
Transliteration:
Mādhava Govinda Mukunda Kṛṣṇa, Śrīdhara Vāsudeva namaḥ.
Vaikuṇṭhādhipati viśvarūpa, sadā bhaktānugraha-prabho.
Nārāyaṇa nīlamegha-varṇa, jagadguro nīlakaṇṭha namaḥ.
Duḥkha-saṁhāraka ānandamaya, tribhuvana-nātha namo namaḥ.
Meaning:
Salutations to Madhava, Govinda, Mukunda, and Krishna,
To Sridhara, Vasudeva, and the lord of Vaikuntha, who takes many forms.
O Narayana, with a complexion like a dark raincloud, O universal teacher, I bow to you.
O remover of sorrows, filled with bliss, the lord of the three worlds, my salutations to you.
Bridge:
विष्णवे त्रिविक्रमाय, जनार्दनाय नमो नमः।
केशवाय मधुसूदनाय, दैत्यनाशकाय नमः।
धृतवराहरूपाय, पृथ्वीधराय विष्णवे।
नमो नमः सदा योगेश्वराय, सर्वसम्पत्प्रदायिनः॥
Transliteration:
Viṣṇave trivikramaāya, janārdanāya namo namaḥ.
Keśavāya madhusūdanāya, daitya-nāśakāya namaḥ.
Dhṛta-varāha-rūpāya, pṛthvī-dharāya viṣṇave.
Namo namah sadā yogeśvarāya, sarva-sampat-pradāyinaḥ.
Meaning:
Salutations to Vishnu, the Trivikrama, and Janardana.
To Keshava, the slayer of Madhu, the destroyer of demons, I bow.
To the one who took the form of Varaha, who lifted the Earth, I bow to Vishnu.
Salutations always to the lord of yoga, who bestows all prosperity.
Chorus:
