Chairman Jennifer Homendy recently testified about the need for more effective presentation of flight operations information to pilots, including information delivered via the Notice to Air Missions (NOTAM) system.
She cited an NTSB aviation safety recommendation that the agency made following its investigation into the July 7, 2017, taxi overflight incident involving Air Canada flight 759 at San Francisco International Airport.
Chairman Homendy spoke in response to a question from Congressman Mark DeSaulnier during the February 7, 2023, hearing of the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure on “FAA Reauthorization: Enhancing America’s Gold Standard in Aviation Safety,” where she served as a witness.
