I started these sweet potatoes probably sometime in spring. I was waiting to find a space to grow in my garden, but it was very challenging, as we all know finding space in the garden is like finding gold. You never know when you're going to have it hahaha.
Anyhow, I finally found a space in June. I thought it was perfect timing since sweet potatoes love heat, which is rare in my area. Yes, I do live in California, but my area has a chill climate all year round. It's hard to grow heat-loving veggies.
But as you guys see, they look pretty good, right? I was hoping to get an okay harvest when the time comes, which will be in the fall.
