How to Make the Best Shrimp and Creamy Cajun Sauce
Ingredients:
(SHRIMP)
•1 pound, LARGE Shrimp
•Olive oil
•Cajun seasoning
•Vegetable seasoning
(RICE)
•2 cups rice
•1/2 tablespoon Vegetable seasoning
•Black pepper
•Garlic powder
•Onion powder
•4 cups water of chicken broth
(Creamy Cajun Sauce)
•1/2 stick, unsalted butter
•1/2 onion, diced
•1/2 tablespoon KINDER'S Cowboy Butter
•1 teaspoon garlic powder
•1 teaspoon onion powder
•Paprika for color GO HEAVY
•1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
•2 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
•1 1/4 cup chicken broth
•1 cup heavy whipping cream
•Vegetable seasoning
Direction:
1. Dice 1/2 onion, set to the side.
2. Clean and devein your shrimp, place in a bowl, add all ingredients for your shrimp, mix well.
3. Add rice, water, and seasoning to a microwave-safe bowl, cook in the microwave for 10 minutes. Remove rice and fluff with a folk, add rice back to the microwave...cook for an additional 8-10 minutes.
4. Cook shrimp in a skillet for 3 minutes per side. Remove from skillet.
5. Using the same skillet, add butter, and onions. Cook for 5 minutes on med-high heat, add 1 tablespoon of minced garlic, cook for 1 minute. Add the rest of the ingredients listed for the creamy Cajun sauce. Turn your skillet to med-low heat when the skillet comes to a simmer. Continue to stir, cook for 9-12 minutes. Add black pepper
6. Serve SHRIMPS over a bed of rice, grits, mashed potatoes. ADD AS MOST SAUCE AS YOU LIKE....ENJOY.
