Western diamondback rattlesnakes have mysteriously appeared in Kanopolis State Park, far from their usual range in southwestern Kansas. Biologists are investigating the origins of this isolated population, first spotted in 1993. Stay safe by sticking to marked trails and keeping a distance if you encounter one.
