This place is truly magical and one of the most unique geothermal areas in the world. This area is actually part of a volcanic belt that runs through the middle of Iceland. The geothermal activity here creates steam vents, boiling mud pools, and hot springs, which makes the area look like it's from another world.
It was freezing cold at -15 degrees, but the contrast between the hot vents and cold streams made the experience even more surreal.
