Tala is a tribe of Jats and Gondals are descendants of the Jat tribe. Gondal is said to have had four sons. Leah's original name was Sher Muhammad who fell ill at a young age, so her father weighed her with silver and gold and then divided the silver and gold. Since then the family came to be known as "Tola" and settled in Sahiwal and Meana Gondal. The famous writer and poet 'Muhammad Umar Nadeem' belongs to this family.
