Jackie and Shadow were heard in the wee hours this morning chortling from somewhere near the nest…It was great to hear them together…
…and this evening both Jackie and Shadow are in their favorite Roost Tree. They were first on separate limbs, but then hopped up to snuggle together on the same limb and announce “We are back. And we are fine!”
The Line Fire is now 51% contained. All the mandatory evacuations of residential areas have been lifted, with only a few evacuation warnings still in place. The air is colder, more moist and less smoky. Rain is possible over the next two days. The helicopters are still doing water drop runs from Big Bear Lake (which can be heard on the cam), but Jackie and Shadow are sleeping soundly right through the noise.
