The Pushpak Express halted near Pardhade station due to sparks in a coach, likely caused by a "hot axle" or "brake-binding," triggering panic among passengers. Fearing a fire, some disembarked and tragically encountered the oncoming train. The incident, over 400 km from Mumbai, saw immediate rescue efforts with ambulances and officials on-site. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath expressed grief and ordered medical assistance for the injured. Investigations into the incident are ongoing.
