We begin our Lenten series on the blood of Christ by understanding that the life of every living creature is in its blood. Because God values life, He places high value on blood as it both symbolizes and carries life. He was even willing to lay down the life of His own Son, so that His blood could be shed as an atonement for human sin. May we come to reverence and honor the precious blood of Jesus Christ!
