► The first disappearance I came across was of Bobby Panknin who was very young at the time when he disappeared from Deep Lake in northeast Washington on the 3rd of August 1963. At the time, Bobby was on a family camping trip at this place and on that day, his mother had taken him and his two brothers, 6 and 10 on a short hike that didn’t stray too far from the campsite.
It’s not completely clear what happened on this hike, but Bobby somehow managed to get separated from his mother and brothers. Two days into the search effort, authorities had absolutely no idea on what could have possibly happened...
