The French alps have been announced by the International Olympic Commitee as the hosting country of the 2030 Winter Olympics. Courchevel and Meribel will host most of the Alpine skiing. Courchevel will host the ski jumping, Val d'Isere will host the slaloms, La Cluzaz will host cross country and Le Grand Bornard the Biathlon. The Brianconaise region will host the ski and snowboard cross and freestyle skiing. Nice will host all the indoor ice sports.
