Title: Mark helps you: Speak to an Employee about their Behaviour or Performance. (How to conduct a Performance Review and how to Manage Performance.)

There's heaps of information out there about how to conduct a performance review or a performance interview, but I think there's something missing.

In the case where the person being reviewed or interviewed needs to improve in one or more areas, what's missing is some sound, practical, down-to-earth advice about how to speak to the person, how to speak to them so they listen, engage, and understand where they need to improve. And if it's being discussed, how they will go about improving.

What's missing is some sound advice about how to speak to the person, and how to look at them. And when not to look at them, but to look at, for example, some objective criteria on which they have been reviewed.

When to look at that, and when to talk about that. When to talk at it. When to turn back to the person, and engage with them directly again. What to do with your hands and when to do it. And this is where I come in.

If you'd like to have a chat about how to improve that aspect of your performance review or performance interview, please just give us a call. Go to the contact page of my website, for example.
