Separation Studio NXT - Black Generation Guide

Learn more about the power of Sep Studio NXT here: solutionsforscreenprinters.com/separation-studio-n…

Separation Studio gives you ultimate freedom with sim process separations. By default Sep Studio will create 9 separations for process art to be printed on a dark garment. But what if you want to print on a light garment? Without a black separation the shirt color may come through far too much. That’s where Black Generation comes in. Click Black Generation then choose one of the detail options. Sharper has the most detail and is best for very light garments, skeletal has the least detail, best for dark but not quite black garments like navy or brown, and detailed is in the middle, best for medium lightness garments like grays. After you decide the detail level click OK and select the file you would like to generate a black separation from, this is the same file you generated the rest of the separations from. The black separation is added in its recommended press position. Now you can edit the black separation as you would any other separation. Freehand and you, together we got this.
