A staple of the 90's sound, the TR-909 is a little more aggressive sounding than its predecessors, incorporating some sample sounds, midi, and stereo out to bring this drum machine into modernity. At recent resale prices reaching prices close to $5,000, we have to ask: is it worth it? Or does a modern emulator like the Arturia Drumbrute Impact have an easier road to these tones?
