⤷ summary: a story told in three parts. tommy and isabel are fracturing. even though their lives are all that they dreamed of, nothing will ever satisfy tommy and isabel can feel him pulling away from her. with the arrival of new enemies and a certain barmaid, tommy continually pushes isabel away. he’s isolated their family and he’s frightened their daughter.
as he falls deeper and deeper into the dangerous world of intrigue and betrayal, tommy soon finds that his entire family may be at risk, but he’s certain that he can keep them safe. through everything, isabel stays by his side — cleaning up his messes and his wounds, but she warns against the dangers of his business, forcing him to question everything about his ambitions and desires.
as they dive deeper and deeper into peaky business, they are constantly torn between giving up on each other, although their love still remains.
tommy once promised to keep their family safe, but when the italians declare war on the shelby’s for business that isabel warned him against, he may not be able to keep his promises. when their daughter is murdered as part of the vendetta, all hopes seems lost. although they get their revenge for her death, isabel slips into depression as tommy’s sanity begins to crumble.
isabel vows that she will never forgive tommy for what’s happened.
