Police fined UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for driving without a seatbelt.
Lancashire Constabulary offered Sunak a "conditional offer of fixed penalty" for filming a social media clip.
On Friday, Downing Street said the British leader "will of course comply" with the penalties. The spokesperson added, "The Prime Minister fully accepts this was a mistake."
On Thursday, Sunak's spokeswoman apologized for a "brief error of judgment" while filming an Instagram video in northern England and advised people to wear seatbelts.
In this January 19, 2023, social media video screen grab, Sunak looks to be unbuckled.
Lancashire Police said: “You will be aware that a video has been circulating on social media showing an individual failing to wear a seat belt while a passenger in a moving car in Lancashire."
"After looking into this matter, we have today (Friday, January 20) issued a 42-year-old man from London with a conditional offer of fixed penalty."
Unless exempt, not wearing a seatbelt in the UK can result in a £500 punishment.
