About Tapovan Hill
It is known for the Tapo Nath Mahadev temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is called Tapovan because it was a meditation spot in the olden days for Nagas. The history goes that Sage Valmiki went there for penance and Sri Sri Balananda Brahmachari attained success through penance there.
