Cheesy Sloppy Joe Casserole
Ingredients:
2 pounds ground beef
1/2 onion, diced
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 bag tater tots
1/2 cup water
2 TB tomato paste
1 cup ketchup
salt & pepper, to taste
1/2 tsp ground mustard
1 tsp red pepper flakes
1 tsp chili powder
1 TB brown sugar
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375.
Cook ground beef and onion over medium heat until ground beef is cooked through, drain.
Add the tomato paste, water, ketchup, ground mustard, chili powder, red pepper flakes, and brown sugar. Mix well and let simmer 5 minutes.
Spray a 9X13 casserole dish with cooking spray.
Pour meat mixture into casserole dish.
Top with shredded cheese, and tater tots.
Bake for 25 minutes if you're making the Christmas tree one, 35-40 if you cover the whole casserole with tater tot
