In this video, I wanted to try something different. My usual technique is to dirty pour across the canvas and move it around. Straight paint with no additives (Floetrol, Mixing Medium, Glue, Water, Etc) was being used. Beautiful shapes and colors pop out, but I wanted to create something more 3D. For this piece, figured why not use less paint so the canvas isn't fully covered, then use a Negative Color (like black or white) to play off the other paint. Almost like an illusion, so once dry, the painting won't look flat. Usually, the best way to achieve this is to layer the painting, but think it came out pretty cool!
