✨ Ingredients:
Mix a cup of plain corn meal, with 1/3 cup of flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 tablespoons of baking powder, 1/4 tablespoon of baking powder, 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Mix
Then add a handful of diced yellow onion and green peppers, 2 small eggs, 1/2 cup of buttermilk ( add in slowly) Mix. Add the rest of the butter milk and mix again.
Do not over mix the batter. Stir until the ingredients are just combined. Over mixing will make them tough and dense.
The batter may look a little lumpier than something like a biscuit batter. This is normal, and not a cause for concern.
Form into a ball and place into grease.
