“Double-Headed Buddha"《双头佛禅说》| Fei Tian Dancers

“Double-Headed Buddha"《双头佛禅说》

Choreographers: Wenwen Jiang, Yanmeng Yang
Style: Chinese Classical Dance
Music: 《敦煌》刘三藏

Description:
"Double-Headed Buddha" is a Dunhuang ethnic dance that brings to life the enchanting figures adorning the walls of the Dunhuang cave temples, paying homage to the rich tapestry of history and spirituality. Dunhuang is an ancient oasis at the crossroads of the ancient Silk Road in northwestern China, where Buddhism entered Chinese culture. The Mogao Caves in Dunhuang became a center for Buddhist worship, attracting pilgrims and monks from different parts of Asia. This duet is inspired by the beautiful figures drawn on the walls of these caves.

Performed by: Catalina Quach, Kelly Tang
