Since rediscovering the Siamese crocodile in Cambodia's Cardamom Mountains in 2000, FFI has been working with local communities to monitor and patrol key areas of the species' habitat. Night patrols are a key part of this monitoring and searching for crocodiles at night using torchlight is the easiest way to see crocodiles as their eyes reflect the light, shining red or orange.
