Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale

Last month, we were lucky enough to explore Niigata just in time for the Echigo Tsumari Art Triennale 2024! 🎨🌾

Though this year’s event wrapped up on November 10, over 200 incredible artworks are now permanently installed across the stunning Echigo Tsumari region, allowing visitors to continue experiencing the art all year round.

This festival, launched in 2000 to revitalize the region through art, transforms closed schools, abandoned homes, and scenic landscapes into breathtaking installations.

It’s a perfect reason to explore the rural beauty of Niigata, especially in Japan’s famous rice-growing heartland. ✨
