In late 1996, Sadhguru recalls urging Vijji Maa to postpone her plan for Mahasamadhi, as their daughter was only seven. While he was willing to support her later, Vijji explained that she had given their daughter all the love and care she could. Recognizing the child's intelligence and independence, she felt there was nothing more she could contribute without creating unnecessary attachment. Sadhguru, moved by her wisdom, found no argument against her decision.
