How to Embrace Difference When It Comes to Social Media

This video talks about diversity on our social networks. I discovered that my LinkedIn had very little diversity among my connections. I wanted to change that disparity. It took intentianally reaching out to BIPOC connections on LinkedIn. As a result I began to see the learnings, joys, concerns, accomplishments, and needs of my BIPOC connections. My feed became more representative. It took embracing difference as a discipline.

Embracing difference as a discipline will open your life to others to be transformed by the way they experience the world. Remember, it is not about getting to a certain number of connections that are diverse.It is, however, about taking intentional actions that enable you to see the world through the eyes of others. Embrace difference as a discipline and see how your understanding of the world changes.
