Development Induced Displacement in Telangana

Dr. S Thirupathaiah, Telangana HRF General Secretary, speaking about "Development Induced Displacement in Telangana". Dr. S Thirupathaiah is a pediatrician by profession and a human rights activist by passion. He spoke about the ways in which the poor and the marginalized people were driven to suicides due to the displacement caused in the name of development. He emphasized that the term development itself was misleading as it was meant to create more wealth for the already wealthy and in that process destroying the livelihoods of the common people and the natural resources.
