Hings Ain't What They Used To Be

Things aren't what they used to be. It's as simple as that.
Is this just an old man's moans, or an insight into a world that is failing on any number of fronts, and in particular in the area of customer service.
In the old days you got good service in pubs and shops. These days you feel like you have to apologise for even entering their establishment.
The level of customer care and customer service has dropped beyond belief.
Do we actually train young people in how to deal properly with members of the public, or do we just kinda let them loose and hope for the best?
For the best in the UK's inns, pubs and taverns is that the customer will actually be served, and not ignored or looked on with disdain.
Standards have dropped. Things ain't what they used to be.
