Exploring Iceland's Wild Side: Snæfellsjökull National Park

the stunning Lóndrangar in Snæfellsjökull National Park. This incredible location is home to a variety of fascinating seabirds, including puffins, guillemots, kittiwakes, and the elusive Icelandic gull. I was still a month too early to see the puffins, but already the sea bird colony was putting on a show.

Lóndrangar is a pair of uniquely shaped basalt cliffs that rise up from the ocean, making it a truly breathtaking sight. The area is also home to a diverse range of wildlife, including Arctic foxes and seals. The Icelandic gull is a striking bird that can be found in this area. These gulls are known for their bright white plumage and yellow beaks, and they are a common sight throughout Iceland.

Snæfellsjökull National Park is located on the western side of the Snæfellsnes peninsula and is named after the iconic glacier that dominates the landscape. The park is home to a range of different habitats, from rugged coastlines to volcanic craters, and is one of the best places to experience Iceland's incredible natural beauty.
