📍 Our Favorite California Campsite is the “PRIVATE BEACH FARM” Campsite on Hipcamp

We recently spent the weekend camping inside a beautifully repurposed historic greenhouse with access to a private beach for us to enjoy.
This rustic campsite was incredibly fun. Located near Goleta, CA, the site is tucked away from the rest of the farm leading out towards the beach. Hipcamp’s Host privacy guidelines doesn’t allow us to just split out the farm's name, but if you look up “Private Beach Farm,” It’ll be there.
Inside the old-school glass greenhouse, you get a large open space for your stuff. With two benches, drinking water, and a simple sink. The site's coolest amenity is its old wood-fired pizza oven in the center. We cooked with it on the last night of our stay and loved it. Setting up a whole pizza-making station for our girls to enjoy.
Also within the rows of greenhouses is the farm's barnyard. Full of chickens, goats, and a couple of pigs, we visited the animals often. Feeding them some fresh fruits and animals at the fence. We even had a few random chickens and a cat swing by our greenhouse to hang out.
The access point to the private beach is only 10 minutes from the greenhouse. You’ll have to take a small path down and across the train tracks to a small covered structure with a picnic table and a view. It’s a beautiful spot and a shock to have to ourselves. From sea lions to frogs and a baby skunk. So many animals call the farm home, giving us some amazing stories.
So If you’re comfortable camping, you’ll most likely love this site. It's primitive regarding amenities and extension cord electricity; it feels like stumbling into a beautiful old site that’s been rediscovered and left as is to enjoy.
