"Once upon a time, during the era of British rule in India, the Saragarhi Fort, located on the borders of Afghanistan, held great strategic importance. Stationed at this fort were 21 Sikh soldiers from the 36th Sikh Regiment of the Indian Army. Leading these brave men was Havaldar Ishar Singh, known for his courage and leadership.
On the morning of September 12, the fort suddenly came under attack. When Ishar Singh saw that approximately 10,000 Afghan tribesmen were advancing towards them, he immediately gathered his soldiers. There was deep concern in his eyes, but at the same time, a firm resolve. He said, 'We have very little time, but we must ensure that we do not step back from our duty. The safety of our Guru, our land, and our families is in our hands.'"
