Albert Thomas, better known as Yella Boy, was raised in the rough neighbourhoods of New Orleans. He was born in 1975. Immersed in the vibrant music scene of the city from the beginning, he undoubtedly carried the influence of it with him. UNLV is a group of rappers that Yella Boy formed in the early 1990s. To clarify for those who are unaware, that stands for "Uptown Ninjas Living Violent." Yafet Jones, real name Lil Yah, and Reginald Manuel, also known as Tec-9, were the other members. Not to be outdone, these guys infused their music with the genuine, unadulterated street life.
