We spent several days exploring the Krabi area and visiting all the best sites. From picture perfect beaches, to grueling hikes to delicious street food we did it all. There is so much to do in the Krabi area that is so unique to Thailand. We have quickly found that Thailand is one of favorite countries on our trip so far. And has arguably had the best food. The street markets were definitely our favorite place to get food as it was inexpensive and delicious!
Phra Nang Beach is a beautiful beach just a short walk away from the more popular (and crowded) Railay Beach. We started our morning here beating many of the afternoon crowds. Many of the places we visited are included in day tours. While day tours can be great in some situations, we think that if you can do something on your own, that will provide the best experience. So if you are comfortable driving a motorbike you can easily visit the elephant sanctuary, Tiger Temple, Emerald Pool and Krabi Night Markets without booking a day tour. While this does take more planning it can save you a lot of money. You also get a better experience as you get to decide on the pace and can beat the crowds. Many day tours will arrive at the same time as other, making the locations very crowded and then will rush you through the sites.
