Atal Pension Yojana is a pension plan specially designed for poor people but not restricted to anyone. Anyone of the age group 18 to 40 can avail this pension plan. The range of assured pension is Rs. 1000 to Rs. 5000. You can chose any amount. The premium will be decided on the basis of your age and amount of desired pension you want. The earlier you enroll the better it is as the premium amount will be lesser. After 60 you will receive the assured pension amount monthly and after you, your spouse will continue to receive and after him/her the nominee will receive the corpus amount.
You can enroll for this at any bank or post office and pay the premium monthly, quarterly or half yearly as per your convenience.
