On June 24, Laura McDowell will become the first trainee to complete the rural residency track offered by UW Health and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Created in 2016, the program was the nation's first OB-GYN residency focused specifically on caring for women in rural settings.
