Section3: Be intentional: Know why you're doing what you're doing

In this section, we focus on the importance of teachers reflecting on their own practices, continually asking themselves why they are doing what they're doing in the classroom, and being able to provide research-based rationales for every instructional strategy they choose. This, in fact, is the third leg of our three-legged stool—without which no teacher can realize his or her full potential. In addition to being demanding and supportive, teachers must also be intentional.
