We moved to Nova Scotia less than a year ago to learn to homestead and try to grow our own food. Making mistakes, googling "how to..." and just winging it is out daily norm.
Despite our inexperience, our lack of time and all of the reasons we should not be succeeding we are making progress. I wouldn't say success yet...but progress!
This week I tried to plant my first vegetable garden. I am feeling a little burnt out and overwhelmed and it might not grow. I put it in anyway and I'll learn something from that experience.
Dominic moved the pigs again and this time they didn't escape! He built them a temporary shelter and they are happy so far in their wooded lot.
