Labour "Not A Friend Of Free Speech" Says Debating Matters Coordinator

Ian Collins speaks to Debating Matters Coordinator Mo Lovatt about Labour's move to revive a bill that protects freedom of speech on university campuses

Lovatt recalls that Labour representatives previously called the bill a 'Tory hate charter' when the Conservatives first tabled it, but welcomes this U-turn from the current government.

Both Collins and Lovatt agree that a letter of protest from UK academics was probably what pressured the Government to act.
