It takes only about half an hour to reach Gifu city from Nagoya by train, making it ideal for a half-day trip. You can take the cable car to the top of Mount Kinka and visit Gifu Castle. At the top, there's a squirrel village where you can feed the squirrels, and the observation deck offers a panoramic view of Gifu. On the way back, you can take a stroll in Gifu Park.
