This is a guided meditation that uses your bond with a pet to help nurture greater amounts of loving kindness your life. Thus, the meditation was designed to be done while cuddling with a pet. I am a professor of clinical psychology at the University of Rochester and a leading researcher on the importance of mindfulness and psychological flexibility in the lives of individuals, couples, and families. I developed this meditation as an extension of that research.
